Jungle Beat is a 5.9+ trad line that has made my palms sweat every time I read the route description in my guidebook. Now, we're face to face and I have to push down that fear that's trying to get to my psyche... the time is now to get outside my comfort zone and act! What do we do to get uncomfortable and a cushy life might just beg the question "Have we really lived?"

Trudging through the cold waters of the Red River is a small price to pay to adventure with your friends in the Red River Gorge... it was a team effort getting to the top of the Jewel Pinnacle and a great reminder that we are not alone out there...
